סרגיי מוסקלב Sergei Moskalev
Sergei Moskalev b.1970

Born in 1970 in Penza, Russia, Moskalev developed a deep passion for art from a young age. His artistic journey began with formal education at an art school, followed by college and the prestigious Academy of Arts. Throughout his training, he had the privilege of learning from master painters who helped shape his technique and approach to art.

Inspired by the works of renowned artists such as Velázquez, Caravaggio, Feshin, Semiratsky, Korovin, Vrubel, Manet, and Turner, Moskalev continuously draws from their timeless influences in his own creations.

His artistic career took a significant step forward through collaborations with galleries in France and Spain, experiences that had a lasting impact on his artistic expression. These partnerships also marked a turning point in his practice, leading to his eventual relocation to Israel. In Israel, Moskalev refined his use of the palette knife, a technique that allowed him to create vibrant colors and add richness and depth to his work. One of the recurring themes in his art is a connection to Jerusalem and its holy places. Through his paintings, he seeks to capture the spiritual significance of these locations, particularly for those who have a deep connection to the Western Wall but are unable to visit it frequently.

Moskalev's art continues to resonate with those who share this bond with Jerusalem, reflecting both his personal journey and the sacredness of the city.
